The excitement, anticipation, and awe of waiting for God’s call is almost unimaginable. It is something one must experience to understand the sensation. We know that we are all called to work in God’s kingdom. There are those that answer and those that don’t. For those who do answer His call, the bible says in Romans 8:28,”And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose.“
When God calls, how will you answer? Will your answer be,”Here I am Lord” or will it be,”I can’t at this moment, I have something important to do.” Each of us has been given a task to do here on earth. Many are working towards accomplishing what God has called them for and others are still trying to listen for His call. God talks to us in many different ways and forms but if our communication with Him is rare, how then are we to know exactly what He wants? This is why in Matthew 22:14 says,”For many are called, but few are chosen.” few are not chosen because God has a preference but because few actually accept the call.
The Marine Corps has a great motto which I believe fits very well in this instance,”Semper Fi” – God is Semper Fi.
Do you know what your calling is? If you are currently serving, are you serving how God has called you? God calls, how will YOU answer?
